About us

Imedi is a UK-based, second generation private family office. Founded in 2008 in London, Imedi manages more than US$1bn of assets as well as the philanthropical activities of our shareholders. Our capital has its roots in the estate of the late Arkady Patarkatsishvili, one of Georgia’s most successful businessmen and philanthropists.

Our principal asset class is a diversified endowment-type portfolio with a focus on venture capital, private equity and private credit.

Through our relationships with venture capital and private equity funds, we strive to support entrepreneurs, whom we consider to be the most important agents of positive change across our society and economy.

The long-term nature of our capital allows us to invest across far-reaching time horizons, fostering lasting relationships with our partners and investment managers.

Originally from Georgia, our shareholders are actively involved in philanthropic projects in their home country. We contribute some of our profits to our charity fund, the Gudavadze-Patarkatsishvili Foundation.

The Company was the owner of the last remaining land plots available for development on the island and has successfully developed two condominium projects – Palazzo Del Sol and Palazzo Della Luna. The projects were awarded Best US residential development at the 2017 International Property Awards.

IDS Borjomi is among the world’s top 10 producers of bottled mineral water and the undisputed market leader in the FSU region. As well as “Borjomi” – the iconic and the most famous mineral water in the region – the company operates a diversified portfolio of ten strong brands. These include nutritional and flavorsome beverages as well as national bottled water brands, developed under the company’s stewardship. Established in 2002, Borjomi operates eight production facilities and sells more than 1.5 billion bottles of water a year.

Imedi oversees a significant minority stake in the business.

The park is connected to the city centre via an historic funicular dating back to 1905.

Founded by two Family members, both second generation dentists, Happy Kids Dental is the UK’s largest paediatric dental practice with two state-of-the-art clinics in Central London.

Happy Kids Dental provides a comprehensive range of paediatric dental services to children of all ages, including preventive dental care, orthodontics, restorative care and oral surgery. It also provides adult dentistry services via its American Smile branch.

Happy Kids Dental has won 19 dental awards and has served more than 14,000 customers since its inception in 2017.

The Family members own and manage 100% of the company.

Using our profit for the philanthropy

Imedi oversees the philanthropic activities of its clients through an affiliated charity, the Gudavadze-Patarkatsishvili Foundation. GPF was established at the Family’s initiative with the principal goal of improving educational opportunities in their home country, Georgia.
